Mildred Strickland

A Celebration of Life Service for Mildred T. Strickland, 82 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Bro. Rodney Whittemore and Bro. Philip Caples will officiate the service.   Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.   Mrs. Strickland passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Country Cottage Corinth.  She was born July 7, 1941 in  Kossuth, MS to Roy Talley and Viola Rodgers Talley.  She was a homemaker and a member of Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church.  She was very active in her church and enjoyed sewing and doing yard work.  She loved taking care of her home and family and spending time with her grandchildren.   Mildred is survived by her daughters, Rita Shaw (Steve) and Janet Strickland (Andrew); three grandchildren, Lily Grace Shaw, Luke Miles Strickland and Caedmon Talley Strickland; her brothers, Amos Talley and Jimmy Talley (Susan); her sister, Mary Wooley; her sister-in-law, Sandra Talley; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Strickland; her father, Roy Talley; her mother, Viola Rodgers Talley; her brothers, Leamon Talley and Durward Talley; her sister, Frances Dixon; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Talley and Ruth Talley and her brother-in-law, Pete Wooley.  Special thanks to the staff at Country Cottage and Vital Care Hospice for all their care.  Magnolia Funeral home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mildred T. Strickland.
