Funeral Services for Michael Gene "Bean" Jobe ,68 of Walnut will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 1:00p.m. at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Magnolia Funeral Home Friday March 24, 5 till 8:00 p.m. He passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Gene was born August 29, 1948 in Corinth, Ms. He was a teacher and a coach at numerous schools including Burnsville, Ms., and Middleton, Tn. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a Master Mason of the Jonesboro Lodge # 250. He loved coaching and taught Sunday school for several years. A few of his past times were playing dominoes, golf, telling jokes, and spending time with his grandchildren. . He is a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and Gideon. He is survived by his wife of 41 years ,Gale Hodum Jobe of Walnut; daughter, Emily Jobe Stewart and husband Michael of Walnut; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Stewart, Ethan Stewart, and Mason Stewart; 4 brothers, Wayne Jobe and wife Angela of Hideaway,Tx, Larry Jobe and wife Margaret of Glen, James Hal Jobe and wife Donna of Smyrna Tn; Steve Jobe of Corinth; 1 Sister, Carolyn Mills of Corinth; special friend, Tommy Mauney; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Robert L. Jobe and Mrs. Mary Lou Arnett Jobe.
Bro. W.C. Alexander will be officiating the service. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Tate Waldon, Rodney Little, Glen Ozbirn, Louis Glover, Clint Boals, Ray Burcham, Mark Mills, Tommy Crum. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
