Funeral services for Marvin Clinton (M.C.) Mauney, 87 of Kossuth, MS, will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. Charlie Browning and Neal Porter will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P m and Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home.
Mr. Mauney died Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home in Kossuth, MS after an extended illness. He was born October 11, 1929 to Dewitte and Willie Mae Havener Mauney. He was a farmer and truck driver never wanting to be retired. He loved taking care of his farm and cattle as long as he was able.
Survivors are his daughter, Cathy Mask and husband Danny of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Tony Mask of Corinth, MS, Teddy Mask and wife Val of Corinth, MS and Kelly Warren and husband Bryan of Fenton, MO; ten great grandchildren, Courtney Glidewell and husband Curtis of New Albany, Caitlynn Mask, Macy Mask, Marlee Mask, Maddie Mask all of Corinth, MS, Josh Warren, Caleb Warren, Jacob Warren, Johnathan Warren and Olivia Warren all of Fenton, MO.; two great great-grandchildren, Ella Clair Glidewell and Grayson Glidewell both of New Albany, MS; sisters, Odean Sampson of Corinth, MS and Clara Porter of Corinth, MS; special friend, Linda King of Corinth, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Shelton Mauney, B.L. Mauney and Aaron (Bud) Mauney; great grandson, McCade Mask; and three sisters, Modean Mauney, Gara Lester and Sue Ross
Pallbearers will be Tony Mask, Teddy Mask, Neal Porter, Jackie Mauney, Tom Mauney and David Talley.
