Maxine Killough, 82, of Rienzi, MS, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Baldwyn Nursing Home in Baldwyn, MS. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on May 24, 1935 to the late James Thomas "Jimmy" Stutts and Edna Eaton Stutts. Maxine attended West Pontotoc Pentecostal Church and was a Home Health Care worker. Maxine especially loved her family with whom she enjoyed spending time. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved. Visitation is scheduled for 5-9 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 and from 11 AM till service time Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Maxine's life will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Glen Williams, Rev. Eugene Taylor, and Cory Burcham. Interment will follow in Vandeford Cemetery. Pallbearers include Delbert Wells, Scott Sample, Doug Cromeans, Matthew Sample, Isaiah Switcher, and Andrew Switcher. Honorary pallbearers include Cody Cromeans, Aaron King, Nathaniel Killough, T.C. Killough and Wesley Killough. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Maxine's memory include her son: Thomas B. Killough of Rienzi, MS; her adopted son: Zachary Killough of Corinth, MS; her daughters: Margie Wells and husband John of Mulvane, KS, Evelyn Sample and husband Michael of Booneville, MS, Faye Cromeans Hall and husband Nolan of Booneville, MS, and Edie King and husband Rev. Kendale King of Pontotoc, MS; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her brothers: James O. "Buddy" Stutts and wife Delane of Corinth, MS and Wayne Stutts and wife Judy of Booneville, MS; her sisters: Lorraine Bishop and husband Hubert of Mooreville, MS and Sahara Wilson of Mooreville, MS; her son-in-law: Randall Switcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: Thomas Lee Killough; her daughter: Patricia Switcher; her stepmother: Hazel Horton Stutts; 1 grandchild; 1 great-grandchild; her brother: William "Bill" Stutts; her sister: Irma Dee Fuas; her son-in-law: Boyd Cromeans; her brother-in-law: A.D.
