Mrs. Mavis M. Selby, 76 of Walnut passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service is set for Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11am at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5pm-8pm and Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 10am until service time at the funeral home. Born May 13, 1941 in Alcorn County, MS, Mavis was a retired factory worker, who was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended Rutherford's Chapel. She is survived by her sons, Ricky Eugene Skinner of Walnut; Bobby Wayne Skinner and wife Tammy of Corinth and Randell Keith Skinner and wife Vickie of Walnut; 5 grandchildren, Brittany Thorton and husband Joseph, Dustin Jones and wife Amber, David Edwards and wife Ashley, Tina Cook and Roger Cook, Jr.;7 great grandchildren, Molly Cook, Skylynn Jones, Kayden Jones, Keaton Jones, D. J. Jones, Evan Gomez and Peyton Edwards; brother, Terry Bobo of Walnut; sisters, Peggy Cloud of Walnut and Patsy Clifton and husband Mitch of Corinth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband F. C. Selby; daughter, Virginia Ann Skinner; grandson, Bobby Wayne Skinner, Jr.; father, King Bobo; mother, Myarl Sharp Bobo and brothers, John Wayne Bobo and Bobby Gene Bobo. Pallbearers will be Dustin Jones, Hunter Grimes, Ray Channon, Bryan Shirley, Tracy Bobo and Chris Goodson. Bro. Casey Rutherford will officiate the service.
