Mavis L. Mullins, 84, of Walnut, MS passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Diversicare of Ripley. She was born in Tippah County, MS on February 9, 1935 to the late Henry and Lessie Roberts and graduated from Chalybeate High School in 1953. Mavis was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church and worked for 27 years for ITT in Corinth. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 10:30 am till service time at Camp Ground United Methodist Church. A celebration of Mavis’s life will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Camp Ground United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Mary Hutson. Pallbearers include Jeff Buse, Craig Miller, Jamie Robertson, Steven Blaylock, Landen Robertson, and Braden Robertson. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Dancer and Joe Buse. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Mavis’s memory include her daughters: Linda Buse and husband Joe of Shannon, MS, Wanda Miller of Ruston, LA, and Carolyn Dancer and husband Charles of Selmer, TN; her grandchildren: Jeff Buse (Jennifer), Stacey Blaylock (Steven), Craig Miller (Laura), Steven Dancer (Tina), and Lauren Robertson (Jamie); her great grandchildren: Caroline Buse, Claudia, Ella Claire and Beau Blaylock, Zora Miller, Taylor and Parker Dancer, Landen, Braden, and Lydia Robertson; her sister: Polly Pirtle and husband Bobby of Senatobia, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bynum Mullins; her parents; her brothers: Fred B. Roberts and H. P.
