Funeral services for Mavis Hicks, 74 of Corinth are set for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 2pm at Friendship Community Church with interment in Christ Gospel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 5pm-9:30pm and Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10am until 2pm at Friendship Community Church. Bro. James Voyles will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Gary Roseberry, Terry Roseberry, James Johnson, Cody Brown, Bubba Hicks, Cedric Parker, Harley Parker and Bryson Hicks. Mavis was born February 8, 1950, in Walnut, MS, and passed from this life on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her home in Corinth. She was a homemaker and attended Friendship Community Church. She loved her family and the time she spent taking care of them. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and riding the backroads. Mavis is survived by her husband, James R. Hicks; son, Daniel Lee Hicks; daughters, Janice Roseberry (Dan), Connie Mayes and Patsy Burns; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Betty Smith (Taylor); other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by 1 grandchild; father, Lester Mullins; mother, Orda Lee Mullins; brothers, Mack Mullins, Vester Lee Mullins, Charles Mullins and her sisters, Martha Flake and Lola Mae Wilbanks.
