Matthew Brodie "Matt" Murphy

A Celebration of Life service for Matt Murphy, 37 of Madison, TN, will be Monday, January 28, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Tate Baptist Church with interment to follow at Henry Cemetery. Bro. Mickey Trammel and Lonnie Murphy will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 5:30 P M to 8:30 P M and Monday, January 28, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Tate Baptist Church. Mr. Murphy passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his residence in Madison, TN. He was born July 27, 1981 in Amory, MS to Rickey Murphy and Linda Palmer Murphy. Matt was of the Baptist faith and a member of Tate Baptist Church. He worked construction but his love and passion was being a musician/guitar player and songwriter. Matt is survived by his mother, Linda Murphy of Corinth, MS; his father Rickey Murphy of Corinth, MS; his brothers, Joby Murphy of Southport, NC and Timo Murphy of Corinth, MS; the love of his life, Stephanie Parsons of Madison, TN; his niece, Danielle Anderson and husband Bobby of Virginia Beach, VA; his nephew, Sam Murphy of Huntsville, AL; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rupert and Roberta Palmer and his paternal grandparents, Brodie and Polly Murphy. Pallbearers will be Nathan Palmer, Brandon Palmer, Wesley Jacobs, Kyle Murphy, Chris Murphy, Craig Murphy, Nathaniel Murphy and Scotty Murphy. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Matt Murphy.
