Funeral services for Alford Matthew Duncan, 67 of Golden, MS are set for Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 1:00pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Social distancing and mask are required per family request. Born March 5, 1953 in Alcorn County, MS, Matthew passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Matthew was the owner of Redbay Carpet in Redbay, AL. He was of the Baptist faith. Matthew loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them and trail riding. He loved horses. Matthew is survived by his wife, Jackie Duncan of Golden, MS; sons, Joey Duncan (Connie) of Redbay, AL, Chad Allen (Andrea) of Tishomingo, MS; daughters, Angel Robinson (Kirk) of Saltillo, MS, Alycia Brown (Tony) of Amory, MS and Shawna Thompson (Chris) of Rienzi, MS; 17 grandchildren, Cody Duncan, Chandler Little, Wyatt Duncan, Dalton Duncan, Tayler Moore, Kirkland Moore, Brody Moore, Tyler Brooks, Tanner Allen, Preston Allen, Colin Allen, Gavin Robinson, Kai Robinson, Courtney Little, Breanna Turner, Madison Duncan and Matty Jo Duncan; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Danny Duncan (Kaye) of Rienzi; sisters, Kathy Duncan Praytor (Jerry) of Cullman, AL, Joan Jones (Jessie) of Rienzi and Tina Godsey of Rienzi; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Duncan; mother, Mergie Switcher Duncan; brother, Jerry Duncan; paternal grandparents, John and Dora Seary Duncan and maternal grandparents, Herman and Ruth Bragg Switcher.
