Mary Surratt Stewart

Mary Surratt Stewart, 81, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on October 31, 1935 to the late Marvin and Nellie Smith Yarber. A memorial gathering of family and friends celebrating Mary's life is scheduled from 5-8 pm with a memorial service at 6 pm, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Brand New Life Church - Corinth, MS officiated by: Pastor John Wilbanks and Bro. Donnie Waldrop. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Mary's memory include her sons: James Gurley and wife Terri of Spartanburg, SC, Anthony Surratt and wife Margaret of Corinth, Randy Stewart and wife Whitney of Corinth, and Scott Michael Surratt of Chicago, IL; her daughters: Joyce McCreless and husband Danny and Anita Dildy and husband Jackie all of Corinth; her husband: Jr. Surratt; 17 grandchildren: Michelle Hollins (Johnny), Bridgette Moore (Jesse), Sara Langston, Misty Pady (Bill), Brandy McCalister (Scotty), Shasta Dildy, Brittany Baswell (Todd), Hunter Gurley, Andrew Surratt (Cheisa), Collin Dildy, Heather Stewart (Jesse), Amelia Surratt, Courtney Moss, Caitlyn Moss, Tanner Chenault, Mary Pady, Jaxson Pady, Quambra McGaha; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandchildren: Karson Stewart, Dillon Surratt, and Boo McCreless; her brothers: Junior Yarber and John Wayne Yarber; and by her sister: Aline Waldrop.
