A Celebration of Life service for Mary Cummings Sanders, 74 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 P M at Union Baptist Church with interment to follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Rakestraw, Bro. Rabon Richardson, Bro. Wayne Cornelius and Bro. Keith Fields will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home-South and Friday, October 2, 2020 from 11:00 A M until service time at Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at her residence. She was born February 3, 1946 in Alcorn County, MS to Johnny B. Cummings and Mary E. Ashcraft Cummings. She was a homemaker and was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church and attended Kossuth Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her sons, James W. Sanders, Jr. (Nicole) of Biggersville, MS, Douglas W. Sanders (Kay) of Corinth, MS, Timothy O. Sanders of Kossuth, MS and Brian L. Sanders (Shellie) of Theo, MS; her daughters, Tammy M. “Sissy” Schermer (Gary) of Kossuth, MS and Lori M. “Angel” Sanders of Kossuth, MS; 18 grandchildren, Jamie Sanders, Destiny James, Dylan Sanders (Taylor) Jacob Sanders, Katlin McVay, Jana Sanders, Cary Sanders, Robert Schermer (Lauren), Justin Schermer (Tamra), Steven Schermer (Shelby), Matthew Schermer, Bruce Sanders, Brittany Smith (Jordan) Bethany Sanders, Beverly Sanders, Katie Brake, Kayla Brake and Karla Brake; 20 great grandchildren; her brothers, Gene Cummings (Shirley) of Holiday, TN, Henry A. Cummings (Debbie) of Greenback, TN, Lonnie Cummings (Janice) of Corinth, MS and Onnie Cummings of Corinth, MS; her sisters, Judy Carol Bradley (Randy) of Jackson, TN and Linda Wilburn (Ronnie) of Corinth, MS; her sister-in-law, Doris Cummings of East View, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. “Sach” Sanders; her grandson, Bryson Sanders; her father, Johnny B. Cummings; her mother, Mary E. Ashcraft Cummings; her brothers, John E. Cummings, James R. Cummings and Alonzo Cummings and her sisters, Emma Jean Cornelius, Minnie Bell Bradley and Ruby Jewel Wilbanks. Pallbearers will be John Capilli, Eugene Capilli, Shorty Bradley, Aaron Martin, Darren Cummings and Mike Suitor.
