A graveside service for Mary Ellen Peterson, 76 of Florence, AL, will be Friday, November 5, 2021 at Magnolia Gardens. Greg Woodruff will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Mrs. Peterson passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at her residence in Florence, AL. She was born March 16, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Robert West and Ann Glass West. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She loved her family and her dogs and horses. Mary Ellen is survived by her sons, Scott Edward Peterson and Christopher Michael Peterson; her daughter, Tia Waddell and husband Mark; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert West, Jr.; her sisters, Barbara, Anita Gray (Danny) and Sharon; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Peterson; her father, Robert West; her mother, Ann Glass West and her brother, Pedro Gaudia. Pallbearers will be Mark Waddell, Chase Peterson, Paul Waddell, T.J. Waddell, David Hollowell and Cody Pegg. Honorary pallbearers will be Jagger McCoy and Sawyer Peterson. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Ellen Peterson.
