Mary Alice Davis

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Alice Davis, 78 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Lorraine Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Trent Nethery and Bro. Jeff Shaw will officiate the service. Mrs. Davis passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born March 28, 1939 in Brownsville, TN to Acie and Lillie Mae White. She retired from the Department of Human Services. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church. She loved animals, gardening and her flowers. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. Mary Alice loved helping others, attending church and was the treasurer at the church for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Davis of Corinth, MS; her son, Russell Davis of Corinth, MS ; her daughter, Sherri Bain and husband Terry of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Shawn Davis, Colton Bain and Chazz Bain; one great-grandchild, Jayce Bain; his brother, Donnie White and wife Sarah of Corinth, MS; her sisters, Norma Arnold and husband Merle of Corinth, MS and Martha Nell McDaniel of Jackson, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Acie White and Lillie Mae White and her sisters, Shirley Davis and Barbara Hall. Pallbearers will be Shawn Davis, Colton Bain, Chazz Bain, Terry Buckhalter, Jordan Davis and Kevin Arnold. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Alice Davis.
