Mary Ruth "Granny" Bullock

Mary Ruth "Granny" Bullock, 85, of Burnsville, MS, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on August 1, 1932 to the late Benjamin Willis and Minnie Bell Chase McCoy. She was a sewing machine operator and a member of Hilltop Church of God. Granny Bullock will be forever missed by her loving family who are saddened by her absence but rejoicing because she is with Jesus. Visitation is scheduled for 5 - 9 pm, Monday, January 22, 2018 and from 11 AM until service time Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Granny Bullock's life will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Mike Hudson, Bro. Ricky Hudson, Bro. Donald McCoy, Bro. Bobby Johnson and Bro. David Basden. Pallbearers include Lee Ward Jr., Chris Bullock, Perry Ward, Casey Bullock, Ben Bullock, Marcus Johnson, Greg Davis, and Austin Walthers. Honorary pallbearers include Ray Flanagan and Jerry "Bud" McAlpin. Interment will follow in Hilltop Church of God Cemetery in Burnsville, MS. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Granny Bullock's memory include her sons: Charles "Chuck" Bullock and wife Judy of Rienzi, MS, Jacky Bullock and wife Anita of Cairo, MS; her daughter: Angelet Ward and husband Lee of Rienzi, MS; her grandchildren: Lee Ward Jr. and wife Kim, Chris Bullock and wife Clair, Cindy Rorie, Perry Ward and wife Libbi, Casey Bullock, Aneshia Davis and husband Greg, Ben Bullock and wife Tabitha, Ashley Johnson and husband Marcus, Austin Walthers, and Ricky Bellinger; 19 great-grandchildren: Brett Ward, Katilyn Roach, Austin Davis, Chance Ward, Mamie Davis, Destinee Ward, Jade Bullock, Levi Johnson, Daniel Bullock, Jacinda Rorie, Morgan Floyd, Kameron Bullock, Liberty Bullock, Clair Rorie, Minnie Rorie, Lexi Johnson, Joel Bullock, Hannah Ward, and Harley McCoy; 1 great-great-grandchild: Lilah-Kate Millis; her brother: Donny Wayne McCoy and wife Mary Lou of Corinth, MS; her sisters: Mattie Lou Ludolf and husband Robert of Olive Branch, MS and Ruby Lee McGill of Corinth, MS; her sisters-in-law: Jewel McCoy of Memphis, TN, Dorothy McCoy of Salisbury, NC, and Martha McCoy of MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Joel Travis Bullock; and her brothers: Milton McCoy (Ilene), Wilburn McCoy, Junior McCoy, Bobby McCoy, Gerald Wayne McCoy, and W.T.
