Marvin Edwin Ross

A Celebration of Life service for Marvin Edwin Ross, 86 of Corinth, MS, will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with military honors. Minister G. W. Childs will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Ross passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence in Corinth, MS. He was born March 1, 1932 in Alcorn County, MS to Tom H. Ross and Allie Mae Johnson Ross. He was a retired welder and was of the Christian faith. He loved socializing with his family and friends and picking on his wife, Martha. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and messing with his hunting dogs. Marvin never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Rickman Ross of Corinth, MS; his son, Tommy Ross of Las Vegas, NV; his daughter, Deb Ross of Austin, TX; his nephew, Howard Ross of Corinth, MS; his great niece, Brittany Ross Graham (Greg) of Corinth, MS; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Betty Lindsey, Joel Rickman, Jerry and Anita Rickman, Mary and Sammy Rowsey and Gerald Horner; cousins, Cindi Brawner and Rita Cook; special friends, Jamie Coln and Fay Strickland; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom H. Ross; his mother, Allie Mae Johnson Ross; his brother, Troy Ross; his sister-in-law, Gean Horner and his brother-in-law, Mike Rickman. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Marvin Edwin Ross.
