Martha Owenby

A Celebration of Life Service for Martha Shadburn Owenby, 81 of Corinth, MS, will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL.  Bro Keith Fields will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mrs. Owenby passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS.   She was born December 25, 1942 in Kossuth, MS to Walter Edward Shadburn and Ottis Wade Flanagan Shadburn.  She was a homemaker and a member of Kossuth Baptist Church.  She enjoyed walking, traveling, being at home and watching The Price is Right and Jeopardy.   She loved game shows, mystery shows, going to the beauty shop, and her family, especially her Momma.  Martha is survived by daughter, Amanda Smith (Quintin); her sisters-in-law, Mary Lynn Shadburn and Lorraine Wheeler(Dennis); her brother-in-law, Leroy Wilbanks; her nieces and nephews, Rob Morgan, Kevin Owenby (Sunny), Todd Shadburn (Greta), Jennilyn McDaniel (Hugh), Janalee Wiles (Dixon), Lindsey Kehres (Eric) and  Dustin Wheeler (Jessi); other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Owenby; her father, Walter Shadburn; her mother, Ottis Flanagan Shadburn; her brothers, Jerry Shadburn and Bobby Shadburn; her sister, Barbara Ann Wilbanks; her niece, Shanda Albritton and her nephew, Tracy Shadburn.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Martha Shadburn Owenby.
