Marion Walker Wray

A Celebration of Life Service for Marion Walker Wray, 83 of Ramer, TN, will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 P M at Michie 1^st Baptist Church with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens.  Bro. Ben Martin will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 P M until service time at Michie 1^st Baptist Church.  Mr. Wray passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his residence.  He was born May 28, 1939 in Ackerman, MS to Allen Wray and Stella Walker Wray.  He was a chemical technician for 30 years at Dow Chemical Agricultural Research and Development and was a member of Michie 1^st Baptist Church , where he was an active deacon.  He served his country in the Army National Guard for 8 years.  He enjoyed anything outside, especially working in his yard.  He loved MS State Sports, fishing and coin collecting.  He was a wonderful Christian man who loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.   Walker is survived by his daughters, Melanie Claburn; Dina Cooper (Billy) and Kristie Wray; seven grandchildren, Allen Millican, Walker Renfro, Chase Claburn, Reilly Ellis (Wayne) Chris Cooper (Rachel), Ben Cooper (Jessica) and Alexis Renfro; four great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sue Jean Box Wray; his father, Allen Wray; his mother, Stella Walker Wray; his sisters, Sue Wray and Marilyn Collier and his son-in-law, Charlie Claburn.  Pallbearers will be Allen Millican, Walker Renfro, Skyler Folden, Eric Pritchard, Kim Dantzler and Jeff Shaw.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Marion Walker Wray.
