Marianne Key Lifsey passed away on May 27, 2021 in Corinth, MS. She was born on May 1, 1945 in Jackson, TN. After graduating from Northside High School and attending Lambuth University, Marianne set out to Boston, MA to begin a 45-year career as a flight attendant. She began with TWA and traveled the world working international flights. From Singapore to Australia, Madrid to Hong Kong, Marianne lived a life filled with global adventures. Along the way, she made many dear, lifelong friends. Marianne made her home base in Lakewood, NJ. She was on the flight crew for several trips transporting private charters for the Sultan of Brunei. She finished her career with Ryan Airlines and retired to Chattanooga, TN in 2012 to be close to family and friends. Marianne was always proud to be a Southern lady with Northern grit. She loved her friends and family, and spent her retirement entertaining, going to brunch, and participating in the activities of her great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Key and John Alvin Lifsey and her great nephew, Charles Stanford III (Chase). She is survived by her beloved sisters Kay Lifsey Stanford (Charles) and Libby Lifsey Hunter (Don), many cherished cousins, seven nieces and nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, and many friends who were family to her. A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Key Family Farm in late June.
