Margie Marie Cook Briggs passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2011 at MS Care Center at the age of 86.
Mrs. Briggs was born November 5, 1924 in Alcorn County, MS to the late William Buford and Annie Pearl Peters Cook. Mrs. Briggs worked as a factory worker for Weaver's Pants Factory, RNS, Wurlitzer and the Hosiery Mill. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved nothing more in life than raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite times were spent with her family. She loved to cook for her family and always had something on the stove ready to eat. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and had the most beautiful running roses around her house.

9 Great Grandchildren: Cassidy Ann Briggs, Kaylee Jane Briggs, Robert Pierce Briggs,
Naron Lee Briggs, Sadie Vance Briggs, Mary Abigail “Abbie” Clausel, Annie Marie Clausel,
John Neal Welch, Nealy Danielle Welch
