Funeral services for Margaret Sherril Dalton, 77, of Corinth are set for Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11am at Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church with interment in Shiloh Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Trey Lambert will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 10am until service time at Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the former employees of ITT and the Jack Williams Sunday School Class of Gaines Chapel UMC. Born June 23, 1944 in McNairy County, TN., Sherril passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at StoneRidge in Farmington. She retired executive secretary for Wells Fargo and ITT. Sherril was an avid painter and taught painting classes. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking, entertaining and being with her church family. Her pride and joy was her dog, CiCi. Sherril is survived by her step sons, Alva Sadler Dalton III (Wanda) and Terry Dalton (Sherry); grandchildren, T. J. Dalton (Britney), Whitney Butler (Brad), Anna Haze Torres (Refugio) and Allyson Johnson (Jacob) ; 7 great grandchildren, cousin, Joyce Cox; God Daughters, Cindy Terry and Laura Lawson; brother-in-law, Dr. Lonnie Coleman Dalton (Joyce); other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alva S. Dalton, Jr.; her father, Lacy Pete Gray and her mother, Mazie Lena Barnett Gray. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church (1803 US 72, Corinth, MS 38834). Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Margaret Sherril Dalton.
