A Celebration of Life service for Marcus E. Leatherwood, 84 of Corinth is set for Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment in Magnolia Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 12:00pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Born January 27, 1935 in Corinth, Marcus passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his home. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, doing all kinds of church work and was a Deacon for over 50 years. He also enjoyed farming and attending church. Marcus is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Leatherwood of Corinth; daughter, Denise Leatherwood Morton (Rick) of Birmingham, AL; 3 grandchildren, Anastasia Morton, Nicholas Morton and Erick Morton; great granddaughter, Mia Adams; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Marcus “Marc” Leatherwood, Jr.; father, Thomas Leatherwood; mother, Mattie Leatherwood Coln ; brothers, Thomas Leatherwood, W. L. Leatherwood, Paul T. Leatherwood, J. R. Leatherwood, Richard Leatherwood; and sisters, Ora Lee Hamilton, Mary Alice Cook, Carrie Mae Lancaster and Ida Lancaster. Bro. Larry Lancaster, Bro. Jimmy Lancaster and Bro. Keith Driskell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Tommy Leatherwood, Harold Lancaster, David Lancaster, Phillip Burns, Sanford Burns and Ronnie Coffman.
