Madie Jean Rogers, age 79, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Corinth, MS after an extended illness. She was born February 18, 1938 in Acton, TN. Her parents were Mark and Beulah (Lambert) Parker. She was retired after 40 years, 12 years at ITT, 5 years with the Alcorn County School District, and 23 years with Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a much loved wife and a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She attended Foote Street Church of Christ and for 50 years was a member of the Theo Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one week to the day by her sister, Martha Ann Younger. The two were so close. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Curtis H. Rogers, her daughter, Kimberly Ann Adcock, and one granddaughter, Abby Rebekah Adcock, who she doted on & called her “Angel Pie”, her sister-in-law, Sydalia Palmer, her nephews, Greg (Jeannine ) Younger, Roger Jones, Todd (Cassandra) Palmer, and Brandon Day. Her niece, Nanniece Younger Nabors, great nieces, Shelana Nabors (Steven) Kelly, Carissa Palmer, Savannah Palmer, Sadie Palmer, and great nephews, Josiah Palmer and Marcus Younger, and a huge family of Parker and Lambert cousins. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at MS Care Center who were so kind to her during her time there and to Dr. Kerry Morgan, Dr. Gregory Hale, & Dr. Leonard Pratt for all the kindness and love extended to her & and our family. There will be a remembrance gathering for her on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Theo Church of Christ.
