Macel Hendrix Shadburn, 75, of Corinth, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. A celebration of Macel's life is scheduled for 2:00pm Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Raybon Richardson officiating the service. Interment will be in Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:00 until service time on Wednesday. Born August 11, 1940 to the late Jordan and Pauline Rogers Hendrix, Macel was a member of Union Baptist church and was the operator of Hurricane Creek and Hightown Grocery Stores. Those left to celebrate her memory include her husband, Jerry Shadburn; her two sons, Todd Shadburn and wife Greta and Tracy Shadburn; her two grandchildren, Zachary Shadburn and Jacob Shadburn: her great-grandchild, Madison Searcy; her sisters-in-law, Donna Hendrix, Mary Lynn Shadburn and Martha Shadburn Owenby; her brother-in-law, Leroy Wilbanks; her nieces and nephew: Jennilyn Shadburn McDaniel, Amanda Owenby Smith, Jana Shadburn Wiles and David Hendrix; her special friends, Madell Jones, J.C. and Carlean Parker, Bill and Inez Birmingham; other family members and a host of friends. Those who preceded her in death are her parents; her brother, Taz Hendrix; her sister-in-law, Barbara Shadburn Wilbanks; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby Shadburn and Doug Owenby. Magnolia Funeral Home had been honored to serve the family of Macel Shadburn.
