Funeral services for Mable “Suzy” LeRue Wroten Burcham, 78, of Corinth, are set for Thursday, September 29, 2016@ 11:00am at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with burial in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs Burcham passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at MRHC. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 5 -8pm at Magnolia Funeral Home and Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 10am until service time at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Mabel “Suzy” was born November 19, 1937 in Alcorn County, MS. to the late Clarence Wroten and Pearl Green Wroten. She graduated from Chalybeate , MS. High School and attended NEMCC. She lived in New Orleans, LA. , Granite City, IL., and Collierville, TN. before returning to Corinth in 1978. She was a former employee at Corinth Credit Bureau, Norwest Financial and Hibbett Sports. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she was Church Treasurer. She was a avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Ole Miss Rebels. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and considered this her greatest accomplishment. Survivors include her husband of 27 years: Ray Burcham – Corinth;Sons: John “Jay” Davis and wife Renee – Walnut and Chris Davis – Walnut; Step Son: Danny Burcham and wife Sandy – Glen, MS; Step Daughters: Allison Fett and Merry Overholt and husband Vince all of Corinth; Grandchildren: Victoria Hall Gray and husband Cody, Austin Clark Davis, Josh Fett, Dustin Burcham, Hunter Burcham and wife Emily, Shannon Overholt and Erin Overholt ; Great Grandchildren: Elliott Gray, Wyatt Gray Truitt Gray, Lilli Burcham and Aubree Burcham ; Special Cousins: Helen Pluck – Corinth and Gale Jobe – Walnut; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband: John Davis, Sr.; her father: Clarence Wroten ; Mother: Lillie Pearl Green Wroten ; Maternal Grandparents: Louis and Doshie Green and Paternal Grandparents: Ishmael and Mary Wroten.
Bro. Warren Jones and Rev. W. C. Alexander will officiate the service.
