Funeral services for Lynda Gayle Smith, 75, of Walnut are set for Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11 am at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST with interment in MT. Pleasant UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2023 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 10 am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST. Rev. Jesse Cutrer will officiate the service. Born July 11, 1948 in Corinth, MS., Mrs. Lynda passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at her home. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. Lynda is a retired factory worker and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, watching the birds and camping. She loved her family and friends. Those left to cherish Lynda's memory include her husband of 43 years, Gerald Wayne Smith; step daughter, Sondra Smith Lawrence;  honorary son, David Sharp; 3 grandchildren, Mckenzie Lee Bryant Burnette, Chad Edward Lawrence (Kailyn) and Brad Lawrence; great granddaughter, Kinsley Lawrence; step son-in-law: Mark Lawrence; sister, Veta Durham; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Eddie Gene Bryant; father, Harmon Lassiter; mother, Cora Wilbanks Lassiter; sister, Janice Lassiter.
