Funeral services for Lonnie Ray Bascomb, 72, of Glen are set for Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 12:30pm at New Hope Church of Christ with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Minister Terry Smith will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 5pm - 8pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel. Pallbearers will be Cameron Russell, Joslyn Russell, Casey Wallace, Fred Churchill, Brandon Kohliem and Tyler Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Lancaster, Matt Nunley and Andy Nunley. Born March 27, 1949 in Corinth, MS, Lonnie passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ and a retired factory worker. Lonnie loved fishing, gardening and visiting with his friends. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Lonnie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gwen Bascomb of Glen; daughters, Shiela Wallace (Raye) of Glen, Tonya Russell (Tim) of Glen, MS and April Bascomb (Shane Cox)of Corinth; 11 grandchildren, Lyn Churchill (Fred), Anna Kohliem (Brandon), Britney Russell, Lonnie L. Bascomb, Christopher Stevens, Eva Mae Wallace, Casey Wallace, Madison Wallace (Mitchell), Cameron Russell, Joslyn Russell (Tris) and Shannon Stevens (Albert); brother: William Warner (Kathy) of Corinth; sister, Brenda Flatt (David) of Corinth; sisters-in-law, Debbie Warner and Brenda Lancaster Flanagan both of Corinth and Cathy Weathers of Glen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Luther Elmer Bascomb; mother, Mary Lou Cox Bascomb; brother, Clarence Dean Warner and sisters, Emma Cox and Geneva Lambert.
