Funeral Service for Linda Wilbanks Newman, 69 of Walnut are set for Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00am at County Line Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 5:00pm-9:00pm and Monday, December 19,2016 from 10:00am until service time at County Line Baptist Church. Bro. David Shepard and Bro. Bobbie Brandon will officiate the service. Mrs. Newman was born September 1, 1947, she was a retired secretary at Union Center School and an clerical assistant at Kossuth. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Old Paths Baptist Church in Ashland. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Glen Newman of Walnut; son, Brent Glen Newman (Tonya) of Walnut; daughters, Telina Newman(Jeffery Ketchum) and Tina Cooper (Keith) all of Walnut; five grandchildren, Austen Cooper, Eli Cooper, Ali Newman, Anzley Newman and Harleigh Newman; brother, Danny Wilbanks of Walnut; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilbanks of Walnut; other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Chloe Newman, Aybree and Aubrey Newman; father, Herschel Loyd Wilbanks; mother, Francis Settlemires Wilbanks and a brother, Hughey Wilbanks. Pallbearers will be Donald Yancey, Ronald Yancey, Chase Yancey, Grant Yancey, Daniel Wilbanks and Ricky Shoffner. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Linda Wilbanks Newman.
