Biographical Information Date of Birth:May 2, 1922 Employment/Occupation: He was a retired route salesman for many years. Church Affiliation: He was a member and deacon of Shiloh Baptist Church Military He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII who served aboard the USS Nitro ammunition supply ship in the European and Pacific Theaters. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed fishing and working in the garden and sharing his harvest with others. He always believed in helping other people. He loved God, family and country and served them all well. Survivor Information His loving wife of 71 years: Willard Lucille Box Phillips – Booneville, MS Son: Leonard J. Phillips, Jr. and wife Mary – Springfield, Mo Daughters: Patsy Havard and husband Larry- Lacey’s Spring, AL; Pam Anders and husband James – Horn Lake, MS 6 Grandchildren: Terry Brockman, Marti Fellers and husband Darell, Mason Phillips and wife Lora, Megan Christian and husband Jeremy, Jeremy Rose, Jamie Rose 14 Great Grandchildren: 2 Great Great Granchildren Brothers: John Thomas Phillips and wife Dorothy – Corinth, MS; Joe Lee Phillips and wife Barbara – Burnsville, MS Sister: Bertha Williams – Burnsville, MS Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and a host of friends Pallbearers will be the Military Honor Guard Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research or The Gideons.
