Leonard Capps, 66, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Chicago, IL on January 26, 1954 and a Christian. Leonard spent his career as a truck driver where he logged over 12 million miles and will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Wednesday, September 30, 2020 and from 12 Noon till service time on Thursday October 1, 2020 at Poplar Springs Free Will Baptist Church. Masks and social distancing are required. A Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Poplar Springs Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Bro. David Krech. Pallbearers include Roger Wilson, Dwayne Carter, Richard Taylor, Joe Miller, Landon Bonds, and Michael Ray. Paul Winchell will serve as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Leonard’s memory include his wife of 40 years, Linda Capps of Iuka; his children, Nicklos Capps of Chicago, IL, Roger Wilson (Samantha) of Iuka, and Corise Clendenin (Mark) of Iuka; his grandchildren, Madison Brooke Wilson, Hazel Rose Wilson, Shanda Delane Turner, Corrina Marie Ray, and Jonathan Dale Wilson; 8 great grandchildren; his brothers, Jimmy Capps of Iuka, Michael Capps of Chicago, IL and Johnny Capps of Chicago, IL; other relatives and many friends.
