Funeral services for Lena Raye Harmon, 88 of Memphis, TN are set for Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST with interment in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home, EAST. Wayne Vandiver and Bro. David Bowser will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Charlie Vandiver, Christopher Vandiver, Wayne Vandiver, Don Essary, Leonard Phillips and Mason Phillips. Born May 5, 1936 in Corinth, MS., Mrs. Harmon passed from this life on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Ripley Wellness and Health Care in Ripley, TN. She was a retired quality care supervisor for the Carrier AC Plant. Lena was a member of Berclair Baptist Church in Memphis. She was an avid Memphis Grizzles and Memphis Tigers basketball fan and religiously kept up with all the statistics and watching Steve Harvey and Family Feud was one of her favorite pastimes. Lena was a great cook and people loved her coconut cakes and her Thanksgiving dressing. She was a caregiver; a beautician and she worked at Forest Hill Whitten Road Funeral Home as a beautician and hostess. Lena is survived by her son, Keith Harmon; 2 grandchildren, Erika Morgan Chiles (Devin) and Kyle Morris Harmon (Jessica); 2 great grandchildren, Abby and Carson; sisters-in-law: Emma Vandiver and Linda Vandiver; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, W. E. Vandiver; mother, Roxie Ann Jones Vandiver; sisters, Lula Essary (W.C.), Retha White (Joe) and Louise Davidson (Jimmy); and her brothers, Ernest Vandiver (Katherine), Ed Vandiver (Portia), Otis Vandiver (Mary Alice), Robert Vandiver (Betty), John Vandiver (Marie), Leon Vandiver, Mark Vandiver and Paul Vandiver. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Lena Raye Harmon.
