Obituary Lavurn Christine Essary Hathcock Mrs. Lavurn Christine Essary Hathcock, 85, died Monday, January 14, in her home in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Herman Hathcock, in 2007; by her son Bobby Gene Hathcock in 1998; and by her infant son, Jesse Paul Hathcock; in 1952. Mrs. Hathcock is survived by her son, Johnny Hathcock (Rita) of Brownsville; her daughter, Janet Morris (Brad) of Nashville; her brother, Adrown (Diana) Essary of Corinth, Mississippi; seven grandchildren: J. P. Hathcock of Brownsville; Lindsey Hathcock Ferrell of Medina, Tennessee; Amy Hathcock Nighbert of San Marcos, Texas; Jay Hathcock of Jackson, Tennessee; Whitney George of Southaven, Mississippi; and Stewart Miller and Jesse Miller. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Wednesday at West Meade Fellowship Church in Nashville, and burial will be held Friday, January 18, at Henry Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi. Visitation at the Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth from 10:00amuntil 12:00 noon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
