Lassie IV Weeks

A Celebration of Life service for Lassie IV Weeks, 90 of Corinth, MS, will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 P M at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church in Phil Campbell, AL. Bro. Mark Jones will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home and Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church. Mrs. Weeks passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at MS Care Center. She was born in Franklin County, AL to Matthew Thomas and Mary Lou Warhurst Thomas. She was a homemaker and was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed attending church, working in her flower garden and listening to gospel music. Lassie is survived by her sons, Elton Wayne Weeks (Sarah Ann) of Corinth, MS and Joey Tyrone Weeks (Cindy) of Corinth, MS; 5 grandchildren, Janae Weeks Bullock (Tony), Kacey Weeks, Heather Weeks Ryerson (Matt), Jared Weeks (Nikki) and Joseph Weeks (Alyssa); 12 great-grandchildren, Courtney Weeks, Jackson Ryerson, Chloe Ryerson, Gabi Ryerson, Elsie Ryerson, Michael Bullock, Coda Weeks, Harper Weeks, Scout Weeks, Isaac Weeks, Ella Grace Weeks and Jett Weeks; her sisters-in-Law, Dessie Taylor (Curtis) of Phil Campbell, AL and Vernice Thomas of Phil Campbell, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Walter E. Weeks; her sons, Ronal Weeks and Donal Weeks; her father, Matthew Thomas; her mother, Mary Lou Warhurst Thomas; her brothers, William Thomas (Estelle), Dewey Thomas (Dovie), Brice Thomas (Lassie), Grady Thomas (Charlene), Tulon Thomas, Paul Garland Thomas (Billie), Wilmer Thomas and Wardy Thomas; her sisters, Flossie Thomas Cagle (Alton), Florene Thomas Kimbrough (Eddie) and Stella Thomas Gann (Harvey; her father-in-law, David Francis Weeks; her mother-in-law, Susanna Braggs Weeks; her brothers-in-law, Hadley Weeks (Lorraine) and Charlie Weeks and her sister-in-law, Bessie Newell (David). Pallbearers will be Kacey Weeks, Jerry Thomas, Larry Thomas, Jeff Thomas, Teddy Morgan and Craig Thomas. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Lassie IV Weeks.
