Larry Norman “Big Larry” Crum passed from this world to be with the Lord on April 10, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN.
A Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Larry “Doc” Dollar will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home.
He was born September 29, 1947 to Marvin Dock and Elvie Irene Crum. He graduated from Kossuth High School in 1964.
He retired as Sgt. after 25 years of employment with the State Tax Commission, later changing to the MS Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Larry loved the Lord, his family and his many friends. He was an avid New Orleans Saints and Ole Miss fan. He enjoyed going on trips with his friends and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Ruth Crum; his 2 daughters, Caroline Lancaster ( Danny) of Corinth, MS and Dawn Crum of Corinth, MS; his granddaughters, Emme Settlemires (Chris) and Hannah Johnson (Jacob); his grandson, Brian Lancaster; his great-grandson, Brentley Settlemires; special friends and family, Hollie, Faith and Asea Thomas and Maxine Wilbanks; Rick Quinn, who was like the brother he never had; other relatives and a host of friends, including the MS DOT Honor Guard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Crum and his mother, Elvie Bright Crum.
Pallbearers will be Rick Quinn, Danny Boatman, Stanley Nelms, Joe Caldwell, Chris Grisham, David Nunley, Justin Waldon and Todd Talley. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Lindsey, Jimmy Tate Waldon, Danny Crum and Glen Miles.
