Biographical Information Date of Birth: August 1, 1925 Employment/Occupation: He sold insurance for Life of Georgia, was the owner –operator of Busby Standard Oil for 18 years and he retired from Tyrone when it closed down. He had a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. He entered into the Navy on Jan 7, 1944. After his training at Camp Shelby he was assigned to an aircraft carrier in San Diego, CA where he boarded the USS Windham Bay (CVE92) and headed to the South Pacific. He earned the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon w/ 3 Bronze Stars, the American Area Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
