Kenneth B. Marcum

A Celebration of Life service for Rev. Kenneth B. Marcum, 79 of Corinth, MS will be Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2:00 P M at Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Jacinto Cemetery. Rev.Dewayne Kirk, Rev. Larry Cooksey an Rev. Tony Kirk will officiate the service. Rev. Marcum passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born July 11, 1938 in Kirk, WV to H. C. Marcum and Daisy Irene Nelson Marcum. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church. He preached for 14 years at Cornerstone Church and taught an A.C.T. class at various churches. He loved bird hunting and training bird dogs. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Kenny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Cooksey Marcum of Corinth, MS; his brother, Clifford Marcum of Marietta, OH; his sister, Faye Devers of St. Augustine, FL; special friends, Bryan and Melissa Hamlin of Booneville, MS; special granddaughter, Abby Hamlin of Booneville, MS; special nieces, Rhonda Eaton (Jerry) of Corinth, MS and Donna Wildmon (Larry) of Marietta, MS; special nephew, Gerald Tucker of Booneville, MS; along with other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, H. C. Marcum; his mother, Daisy Irene Nelson Marcum; his brother, Robert "Bobby" Marcum and step-mother, Ethel Wallace Marcum. Pallbearers will be Gerald Tucker, Lucas Eaton, Michael Wildmon, Jeffrey Wildmon, Byran Hamlin, Steven Eaton, Tim Eaton,Jerry Barnes, Johnny Barnes and Henry C. Marcum. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Rev. Kenneth B. Marcum.
