Kay Rogers

A Celebration of Life Service for Kay Rogers, 64 of Rienzi, MS, will be Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 2:00 P M at Hinkle Baptist Church with interment to follow in Hinkle Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Raybon Richardson and Bro. Harold Settlemires will officiate the service.  Mrs. Rogers passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her residence.  She was born October 29, 1959 in Corinth, MS to Harold Denzel Ballard and Frances Laverne Rinehart Ballard.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Hinkle Baptist Church.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her flower garden.  She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.  Kay is survived by her sons, Rodney Rogers (Heidi) and Robert Rogers (Erica); her daughters, Tasha Horton (Scott), Tabatha Austin (Phillip) and Trina Thomas (Shane Shinar); 14 grandchildren, Rylee Rogers, Peyton Boyd, Ruby Rogers, Katie Horton, Matt Horton, Kelsey Horton, Seth Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Andra Austin, Abigail Austin, Addison Austin, Landon Thomas, Emmalyn Thomas, Olivia Kay Thomas and one grandchild on the way; her brothers, Danny Ballard and Ricky Ballard (Tena); her sisters, Trudys Pittman and Connie Bishop (Bobby); best friends, Dianne Ellzey and Donna Morelock; honorary son, Jeremy Barton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Rickey Rogers; her son, Andy Rogers; her daughter, Tiffany Rogers; her grandson, Ethan Scott Rogers; her father, H.D. Ballard; her mother, Laverne Ballard; brothers, Keith Ballard and Toney Ballard and her sister, Teresa Bowling.  Pallbearers will be Rylee Rogers, Matt Horton, Seth Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Jason Ballard and Clyde Burcham.  Honorary pallbearers will be, Jim Kennedy, David Franks and Jeremy Barton.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Kay Rogers.
