Kattie Dixon, 94, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on May 19, 1924 to the late Herman and Fannie Mae McCalister. Kattie was a homemaker and a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 pm, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 and from 11 am till service time, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Kattie’s life will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Craig Wilbanks. Interment will follow in Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Shane Dixon, Rodney Bass, Connor Wilbanks, Timmy Wilbanks, Phillip Rutherford, Will Bass, Shaun Mullins, and Barry Pace. Honorary pallbearers include Vaughn Wilbanks, William “Butch” Bass, and Greg Moss. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Kattie’s memory include her son: Kenneth Dixon (Sandy) of Corinth; her granddaughter: Kathy Pace (Franklin, Jr.); her great grandson: Justin Pace (Marla); her great-great grandson: Chael Marshal Pace; her special nieces: Brenda Bass (Butch), Wanda South (Jerry), and Sue Franks (Donald); numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marshall Dixon; her parents: Herman and Fannie Mae McCalister; her daughters: Ima Joyce Dixon Rutherford and Ivy Mae Dixon; her brothers: J.B.
