A Graveside Service for Katie May Gilmore, 85, will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Magnolia Gardens at 2:00 PM There will be a visitation on Friday, November 20, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 1:00 PM until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home South. Bro. Ricky Kelley will officiate the service. Mrs. Gilmore passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at her home in Booneville, MS. Pallbearers will be Eric McKinney, Joshua McKinney, Philip McKoon, John James Jr., Dennis Younger and Chip Taylor, Jr. She was born on January 19, 1935, in Biggersville, MS to John Glenn Gifford and Dige Blackwell Gifford. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of East Booneville Baptist Church. Katie is survived by her three daughters, Guinda Mae McKoon (Philip) of Corinth, Tammy Lee James of Booneville, and Debra Kay Younger (Dennis) of Round Lake, IL.; five grandchildren, Latisha Canon (Scott), Crystal James, Dennis Younger, Jr., John James Jr. and Kayla James (Eric); ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Pardue (Bud) of Dennis, MS and Barbara Lynn Hickman of Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: E.D. Gilmore; her son: Eddie Ray Gilmore; her father: John Glenn Gifford; her mother: Dige Blackwell Gifford; her brothers, Walter Lee Gifford, Roy Glenn Gifford, and John Rufus Gifford; and her sister: Betty Lambert.
