Kathy Marie Bailey Shields, 63, of Corinth, Mississippi, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on April 3, 1951. She was the retired director of transportation for the state of North Carolina. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Tate Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 and from noon until service time on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Bro. Travis Smith. Interment will follow in Henry Cemetery. Pallbearers include John Baswell, Justin Hicks, Kane Hicks, Tory Hastings, Blake Holley, Brett Holley, Derek Hicks and Deven Hicks. Honorary pallbearers include Brent Bailey, Larry Bailey, Zack Leatherwood, Mikey Crumby and Jason Stebbins. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include 3 sons: Robbie Hicks of Corinth, MS, Shane Hicks and wife Lisa of Glen, MS and Jon Hicks and wife Tanya of Farmington, MS; 3 daughters: Missy Baswell and husband Thomas of Glen, MS, Candy Briggs and husband Tracy of Pickwick, TN and Kristy Holley of Kossuth, MS; 1 brother: Terry Bailey of Mobile, AL; 6 sisters: Pat McMeans of Iuka, MS, Sheila Dotson and husband Jimmy of Corinth, MS, Mary Stebbins of Corinth, MS, Lynn Bailey of Corinth, MS, Debbie Leatherwood and husband Jeff of Corinth, MS and Tina Braverman and husband Michael of Stamford, CT; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Kelsey Hicks; a son-in-law: David Holley; her father: Robert Brewer; her mother: Marie Bailey; a brother: Richard Bailey; her maternal grandmother: Kate Mooney and a nephew: Gent Dotson.
