Funeral services for Karla Yvonne Bain Akins, 73 of Southaven, MS are set for Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1pm at Greenbrook Baptist Church in Southaven with interment in Love Joy Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville, MS on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2022 from 12pm-1pm at Greenbrook Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. Bro. Don Holder will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Matt Burns, Phillip Burns, Steve Gilbert, Tommy Williams, Tim Holder, Richard Weatherford and Jerry Camp.  Born February 9, 1949 in Leedy, MS ., Yvonne passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Horn Lake, MS . She was a retired secretary and a member of Greenbrook Baptist Church. Yvonne is survived by her son, Eric Brian Akins; her mother, Minnie Hazel Chesteen Bain; brother, Charles Edward Bain; sisters, Karen Elizabeth Burns and Anna Kathryn Thomas; other relatives and a host of friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Clyde Akins, Jr.; father, Noel Edward Bain and her brother, Jeffrey C.
