Biographical Information Date of Birth: June 20, 1947 Employment: She retired from Alcorn School District where she was the Secretary at Rienzi Elementary School Church Affiliation: She was a member of Rienzi Baptist Church Judy deeply loved her family and was a devoted wife to her husband Jerry for over 50 years. “Nonna” always had a room ready for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished more than anything in this world. Beyond her family, Judy dedicated her life to making a difference in all she touched. In addition to her time as secretary at Rienzi Elementary, “Mrs. Judy” taught children’s’ Sunday School at Rienzi Baptist Church for 45 years. Her devotion and care for children and the impact she had on each of their lives is most certainly immeasurable. At home, Judy was fond of crocheting and always had an assortment of flowers to which she enjoyed both tending to and showing off. There also was always a special place in her heart for music, starting from the time she was a little girl, listening to her Papa Goodman play at the family home, extending throughout her life to the 30 years she spent as the pianist at Rienzi Baptist. Judy carried the title of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, musician, and teacher, and she will forever be remembered to those that hold her most dear as “mama” and “nonna,” but she graciously entered Heaven with the only title that mattered, as Judy was, and is, a child of God.
