J.R. Lee Brown

A Celebration of Life Service for J.R. Lee Brown is set for Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow in Hinkle Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Brown passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, TN. Born April 6, 1935 in Corinth, MS., J.R. was of the Pentecostal faith and worked at Wurlitzer, Spun Steel and farmed before moving to Texas. When he moved his family to Texas he worked as a property maintenance man at various property management companies. J. R. loved his family and friends and enjoyed gardening, riding on his tractor and playing his guitar, which he did everyday. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Morgan of Conroe, Texas and Lisa Blaschke and husband Glen of Franklin, TN; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Morgan and wife Rebecca, Hannah Morgan. Lauren LeBlanc, Max Blaschke and Ben Blaschke; 2 great grandchildren, Landon Morgan and Madison Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. J.R. is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Garah Jean Brown; father, Walter Brown; mother, Sally Shaw Brown; brothers, Reid Brown, Roy Brown and Lamon Brown and sisters, Joy Odle and Ruby Rogers. Steve Morelock will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Glen Blaschke, Brandon Morgan, Danny Odle, Max Blaschke, Ben Blaschke and Steve Morelock. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. J.R. Lee Brown.
