A Celebration of Life service for Joyce Wood, 70 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Rock Hill Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Bro. Warren Jones and Charlie Browning will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M and Friday, October 25, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Wood passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her residence in Corinth, MS. She was born February 22, 1949 in Corinth, MS to F. H. "Omer" Miller and Effie Juanita Jackson Miller. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Farmington Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking and always took care of everyone else. Joyce is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gerald Wood of Corinth, MS; her sons, Craig Wood of Corinth, MS and Tracy Wood of Corinth, MS; her daughters, Lisa Jenkins (Larry) of Counce, TN, Sherry Rogers of Corinth, MS and Stacy Hunt of Corinth, MS; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Mills, Cody Jenkins (Ashley), Paige McCann and Tyler Rogers (Faith LaFever); 4 great-grandchildren, Noah Bain, Greyson Mills, Fisher McCann and Maverick Mills; her brother, Jerry Miller (Susan) of Corinth, MS; her sister, Janice Thomas of Corinth, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hannah Jenkins; her father F. H. "Omer" Miller; and her mother, Effie Juanita Jackson Miller. Pallbearers will be Jason Miller, Heath Thomas, Rick Jackson, Todd South, Shane Smith, Dusty Price and Hunter Thomas. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Joyce Wood.
