Joyce Smith

Joyce Smith, 69, of Glen, MS, passed away at Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson, TN on Saturday, September 11, 2021. She was born in Anniston, AL on January 24, 1952 to the late Joseph Thomas and Reba June Kean Hurley and was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith, loved “Alabama” football, enjoyed fishing and camping but her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Monday, September 13, 2021 and 10-11 am Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home East. A Celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 11 am officiated by Bro. James Voyles. Pallbearers include Daryl Smith, Philip Richardson, Brannon Blackwell, Christopher Martin, T.J. Hurst, and Kenny Price, Jr. Interment will follow in Indian Springs Cemetery. Those left to honor Joyce’s memory include her sons, Steven James Smith and Shane Anthony Smith; her daughters, Frances Lynn Richardson Smith, Patricia Lynn Smith, and Patty Jean Provence; her grandchildren, Samantha Kiddy Hurst (T.J.), Philip Richardson (Anna), Jaden Smith, Lauren Smith, Daryl Smith, Chasity Alley, Christopher Martin, Hannah Smith, Mariah Provence, and Isabella Provence; her great-grandchildren, Khloe Hurst, Tatum Hurst, and Dalton Richardson; her brothers, Tommy Hurley (Terrie) and Mike Hurley; her sisters, Becky Smith, Delores Rast (Jim), and Donna Bullock (Ricky); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
