Funeral services for Joseph Edward “Joey” Wilkinson are scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 12 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Wilkinson died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at UAB- Birmingham, AL. He was born April 25, 1980 in Tupelo, MS to Sam and Frieda Wilkinson. He was a self employed laborer. Mr. Wilkinson is survived by his parents, Sam and Freida Wilkinson of Columbia, MS; a brother, Sam Wilkinson of Florence, AL; 2 sisters, Shanda Puckett of Florence, AL and Mistie Hauser of Hattiesburg, MS; his maternal grandmother – Sue Doles Graves and husband B. J. of Corinth, MS ; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Junior Doles; his paternal grandparents, Sam and Hazel Wilkinson and a niece, McKensley Hauser. Pallbearers will be Terry Doles, Jr. Michael Doles, James Olive, Connor Puckett, Eric Burns and Bradley Bradford. Bro. Nelson Hight will officiate the service. Magnolia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
