A celebration of life for John Wilburn Poindexter, 90, of Corinth, MS is set for 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Pebble Hill Cemetery. Bro. Joe Marsh will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Born February 28, 1931 in Tennessee to the late Clyde & Kate Foster Poindexter, John passed away May 4, 2021 in Corinth, MS. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and retired as a repairman who fixed pinball machines. He served one year in the Navy & two years in the Army. Those left to honor John’s memory include his wife: Louise Poindexter; daughter: Jennie Poindexter; sons: Randy Poindexter & Gary Poindexter; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren; one brother; other relatives & a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers. Pallbearers include Greg Rickman, Dee Rickman & Joe Roach.
