Joey Powers

Joey Powers, 52, of Corinth, MS passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born in Corinth, MS on January 9, 1969 to Billy Powers and the late Faye Hill Powers. He worked as yard manager for Alcorn Builders Supply and was a member of Mt. Zion Church. Joey will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Magnolia Funeral Home – 72 East is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Tuesday, October 26th and 1 pm till service time Wednesday, October 27th at Lifeline Assembly in Corinth. A Celebration of Joey’s life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Lifeline Assembly officiated by Bro. Jason Pellizzer, Bro. Darren Howell & Bro. John Johnson. Pallbearers include Thad Fulgham, Bo Butler, Darren Lumpkin, Austin Cummings, Road Dawg, and Hughes Tomlinson. Interment will follow in Grissom Chapel Cemetery in Burnsville. Those left to honor Joey’s memory include his wife, Jessica Powers; his daughters, Meta Armstrong (Cody), Maegan McGarity (Dennis), Kayla Carter (Mark), Amber Powers, Sierra Meyer (Jesse), and Destynee Powers; his sons, Keith Powers (Courtnee) and Landon Powers; his grandchildren, Laynee, Elliana, Shiloh, Novalee, Bennett, and Canaan; his father, Billy Powers; his sisters, Kimberly Johnson, Darlene Davis (Josh), Jennifer Johnson (John), and Cyndi Powers; his brother, Jason Powers (Melissa); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
