Joel Wayne Griffin, 60, of Corinth, MS, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Funeral services are set for Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with burial to follow at Henry Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Haney and Bro. Bartley Nethery will officiate the service, with Mike Hodum bringing the eulogy. Visitation will be on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Magnolia Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mr.Griffin was born on October 19, 1956,was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, and avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed by ITT, Combined Insurance Company, Modern Woodman of America, and was a member of the Farmington Water Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Dorothy Griffin, and brothers, Billy R. Griffin, Jr. and Ronnie Griffin. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra (Sandy) Lancaster Griffin; daughters, Brittany Nethery and husband Bartley and Amy Griffin and husband Chris, all of Corinth; one son, Chris Griffin and fiancé Whitney, of Melbourne, Florida; one granddaughter, Mia Grace Griffin of Corinth; brothers, Keith Griffin and wife Cathy of Michie,TN and Oren Griffin of Pensacola, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harrison, Gary Essary, Mike Hodum, Scotty Little, Robert Qualls, David Jackson and Rickey Mathis.
