Joe Edward Massengill passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Magnolia Regional Health Center at the age of 63. Mr. Massengill was born October 1, 1948 in Corinth, MS to Frances McCrory Massengill and the late Erbie E. Massengill. He retired from Caterpillar with 24 1/2 years of service in maintenance. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and friends especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working on various things in his shop and going down to the pond near his home and setting on the pier and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 43 years: Dorothy Jones Massengill – Corinth, MS Daughter: Jennifer Williams and husband K. C. – Corinth, MS Mother: Frances Massengill – Corinth, MS 4 Grandchildren: Landon Lambert, Jenny Grace Lambert, Casey Williams, Emily Williams 3 Brothers: Erbie Massengill and wife Pam – Brandon, MS; Jerry Massengill – Booneville, MS; Alan Massengill – Corinth, MS Brother-in-law: Charles Jones- Corinth, MS Sister-in-law: Brenda Dunn and husband Eddie – Corinth, MS 3 Nieces: Cindy Marsh and husband John; Becky McClamroch and husband Clint; Kim Latch and husband Lamar all of Corinth, MS 5 Nephews: Brandon Massengill; Aaron Massengill and Daniel Massengill all of Georgia; Benji Massengill and Eddy Jones and wife Jamie all of Corinth, MS Other Relatives and a host of friends He was welcomed to heaven by his daughter: Melissa “Lisa” Jo Massengill Father: Erbie E. Massengill Pallbearers will be Benji Massengill, Julio Macias, Eddy Jones, Russell Lambert, Zendell Null and Ray Elam.
