Jesus "Papa" Lormendez

Jesus “Papa” Lormendez, 63, of Walnut, MS passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  He was born in Vera Cruz, Mexico on December 24, 1958 and was of the Catholic faith. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 5 pm - 9 pm Monday, March 28, 2022 and 10 am to 11 am Tuesday, MArch 29, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Gary Porterfield. Pallbearers include Jesse Collins, Jacob Hernandez, Joe Holt, Jimmy Tate Waldon, Sam Echavarria, James Smith, Randy Waldon, Robbie Mullins, and Brad Wilbanks.  Interment will follow in a private family cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Jesus’ memory include his wife, Debbie Lormendez; his mother, Carmen Castillo Lormendez;  his sons, Chucho Lormendez, Cruz Lormendez, Nathan Zills (Ashley Wilbanks, and Justin Zills; his daughters, Julie Lormendez, and Said Lormendez; his grandchildren, Austin Zills, Heath Zills, Autumn Zills, Emma Zills, Tucker Zills, Landon Bowden, Bryce Zills, and two granddaughters in Mexico; his sisters, Betha Lormendez, and Triny Franco; other relatives and a host of friends.
